Description
Paphiopedilum villosum is a species from South-east Asia with a wide range. It is usually called a cool grower, but we grow them intermediate to warm and they do very well. It is found in shady, forest settings. You can learn more about this species at Jay’s site.
This is a very easy species to grow. It’s temperature tolerance is well known and it can be grown outdoors along California’s cool coastal region.
This is a selfing of ‘Chuck’s Warrior’ AM/AOS, a plant that is often listed as Paphiopedilum villosum var. annamense. It was awarded as the type form of the species so we are listing as that, although it does resemble annamense.
