Paphiopedilum rothschildianum ‘Dark Angel’ AM/AOS x ‘Paradise Lost’ AM/AOS

Two of the absolute darkest roths you will ever see. The stripes are so intense that they almost coalesce to form solid chestnut petals. We expect to see some petals in these that will be close to solid color.

‘Dark Angel’ received an 89 point AM/AOS on its first bloom. It could easily get upgraded to an FCC when it grows up. ‘Paradise Lost’ is one of the most spectacular roths I have ever seen. I expected a 94 point FCC but the judging team disagreed. That’s how it goes sometimes.

These are sturdy seedlings in 3.5″ pots. This cross should produce many, many awards.

Paphiopedilum rothschildianum ‘Dark Angel’ x ‘Paradise Lost’ is a sibling cross of two AM/AOS plants. The color on both parents is simply incredible.

‘Dark Angel’ received an 89 point AM/AOS on its first bloom. It is highly likely to be upgraded to an FCC when it grows up. I fully expected a 94 point FCC for ‘Paradise Lost’, but the judges settled on an AM.

We have some of the very finest roths in the world at Paph Paradise. Our crosses will set new quality standards for this species. We are releasing a limited number of seedlings as we want to grow quite a few up to maturity.
