Paphiopedilum lawrenceanum

Paphiopedilum lawrenceanum

This is a charming species that can form nice clumps and put on a great display of flowers in the spring. It has become fairly scarce in collections in recent years.

Strong seedlings in 2.25″ pots.

Paphiopedilum lawrenceanum has become fairly uncommon in the hobby lately. It is a mottled leaved species from Borneo and is behind almost all of the Maudiae type hybrids we see. It is a charming species in its own right, and it simply needs moderate light and warm temperatures to thrive. You ca learn more about this species at Jay’s site. Photo courtesy of Elizabeth Chen.
