Description
Paphiopedilum hainanense is part of the appletonianum complex and may or may not be is own separate variety of the species. There are several variants in this group, with slight differences in the flowers and foliage. They are found throughout South-East Asia in shady forests. Plants from this group are easy to grow, with colorful flowers in the winter through spring. They are vigorous growers and can form impressive specimen plants in a few years.
