Description
Paphiopedilum Gisela Utz is a primary hybrid of (wenshanense x thaianum). It will probably look very much like Paphiopedilum QF Mini (pictured). I suspect that Paphiopedilum thaianum will behave much like Paphiopedilum niveum in breeding, but the plants will be smaller. This species will probably suppress all color in its progeny except for red. The result will be a small white flower with red spots.
Paphiopedilum thaianum has been producing some wonderful miniature hybrids. They can produce multiple growths in a tiny pot and take up very little space.
