Paphiopedilum dayanum is a spring blooming orchid species found in Borneo. It is fairly uncommon, but you can learn more about it on Jay’s site.
This species is relatively easy to grow. It just likes to be kept on the warm side.

An interesting species known for its unusually large flowers. Fairly easy to grow but still not too common in collections. This is a sibling cross of two excellent plants.
Strong seedlings in 2.25″ pots, about 18 months from blooming.
