Paphiopedilum (Cocoa Pawridge x bellatulum)

Paphiopedilum (Cocoa Pawridge x bellatulum

Spots! Maybe some pink spots? A very unique hybrid crossing a red complex to bellatulum. The result is a plant with an extended blooming season and beautiful color. There will be plenty of variation across the group. The photos are siblings.

These are blooming size plants in 3.5″ pots.

Paphiopedilum (Cocoa Pawridge x bellatulum) is a cross between a red spotted complex Paph and the spotted Brachy species bellatulum. The result is a compact plant with slightly mottled foliage. The flowers are quite variable and range from light red to pink. The spots can be very fine or larger and darker.

The influence of Paph bellatulum extends the blooming season from the traditional mid-winter for complex Paphs. These can bloom any time from fall through spring. Peak season is still mid-winter, but it is nice to have plants that will surprise you with off season flowers.

These grow like any other complex hybrid. Check out our care page for tips on how to keep these at their best.
