Description
Phragmipedium longifolium ‘Pink’ is a lighter color form of this species from Central and South America. It grows as a terrestrial plant in wet areas with intermediate temperatures. You can learn more about this species at Jay’s site.
This form of the species has pale green flowers with a pink overlay rather than the usual colors. This may be what is known as Phragmipedium longifolium var hartwigii, but I will have to consult some taxonomic experts to confirm this. These plants are a bit smaller than the typical forms of the species.
