Description
Paphiopedilum hangianum is a highly desirable species with enormous flowers. This species is very slow growing from flask and blooming size plants are difficult to find. Once they are up to size they grow and flower well.
This species is found in Vietnam and China, where it grows on limestone. We grow it warm, with moderate light. You can learn more about its natural habitat on Jay’s site.
The first specimens of this species had floppy flowers. Now that they have been selectively bred for a few generations the flowers have more impressive color and are much flatter.
