Description
Phragmipedium Demetria is (caudatum x sargentianum). The hybrid has long petals and a attractive pink color, which is a nice blend of the two parents. Phragmipedium caudatum grows warm, bright and dry, while Phragmipedium sargentianum grows in more shady, wet conditions. As a result this hybrid is quite vigorous and adaptable to many conditions.
This hybrid will produce many blooms sequentially on the inflorescence, so it can stay in bloom for quite a while. Photo courtesy of Kathy Barrett.
