This is an easy to grow multifloral species. Tall spikes with up to 7 colorful flowers appear in the spring and summer months.

Description

Paphiopedilum lowii in spike is a large multifloral species found from Malaysia, Borneo and Indonesia. It has a wide range but favors areas that receive copious amounts of rainfall during seasonal monsoons. There is a cooler, drier winter season that still has regular rainfall.

We grow this species along side our other multifloral Paphiopedilums. They do not seem to require any special care. As the days lengthen and warm up, spikes will initiate in late winter through spring. The plants can have up to 7 flowers on each inflorescence. Follow our care tips and you will find these easy to grow.
