Paphiopedilum insigne var sanderae is the yellow form of the species. It lacks the spots of the type form but the color is bright and vibrant. There are dozens of synonyms for this species, which you can see listed at Jay’s site.
This species comes from relatively high elevations so it is intermediate to cool growing. Despite this we have seen them tolerate temperatures into the upper 80’s to low 90’s with no ill effects.
We grow these with our complex Paphs and they bloom reliably every winter. Check out our care page for more details on Paphiopedilum culture.
