Description
Paphiopedilum Ho Chi Minh is a well known primary hybrid between Paphiopedilum delenatii x vietnamense. Paphiopedilum vietnamense was described fairly recently in 1999. It can be a little challenging to grow. When crossed to delenatii, we get vigorous plants that bloom easily in the late winter through spring. This hybrid can often produce 2 flowers on each spike and has very attractive foliage.
This hybrid comes from the Parvisepalum section of Paphs. Most of the species in this group prefer drier, cooler winters. Since this is a primary hybrid the plants are more adaptable and grow very rapidly. We don’t give them any special consideration in the nursery and they grow alongside our Maudiae hybrids.
