Description
Paphiopedilum Dollgoldi is a primary hybrid of (rothschildianum x armeniacum). It is arguably the most impressive of the hybrids made between multiflorals and Parvis. Its huge, bright yellow flowers with bold stripes make a stunning display. Mature plants will carry three flowers at a time on tall stems. They are real eye catchers at shows. Because of this it has captured many awards over the years.
Older crosses of Dollgoldi have a reputation of being difficult to flower. Older crosses were made with clones of Paph rothschildianum like ‘Charles Edward’. This clone is a shy bloomer. The new hybrids are made with easy to bloom modern clones The result is a plants that is much easier to bloom.
