Paphiopedilum QF Burgundy Blush (Laurie Lei Quintal x Satchel’s Legend)

This is a cross of a complex Paph x a dark Maudiae type. The results can be quite spectacular from these breeding lines. Most of these have been very dark but there will always be variability from crosses like this. We managed to find a few more of these but once these are sold I think that will be it.

Paphiopedilum QF Burgundy Blush is a spectacular hybrid that combines a Maudiae type Paph with a complex or bulldog Paph. The result has been mostly vinicolor flowers with heavy substance like a complex Paph.

This type of breeding usually produces limited numbers of seedlings. There is usually quite a bit of variation with hybrids like this. Some of them have been outstanding, like the awarded one in the photo.
