Paphiopedilum tigrinum ‘Gold Country’

Paph tigrinum is a highly desirable species that can be hard to find offered for sale. The plants do not set seed well, they are troublesome in the lab and slow to establish out of flask. As a result they command high prices.

This is a division of our best clone. It is in a 3.5″ pot with two growths in spike and a new start.

Description

Paphiopedilum tigrinum is always in high demand. It is seldom offered for sale while in spike. It can be a challenging species to grow. It is not tolerant of wet feet in the cooler winter months.

This is a division of one of our best plants. This clone grows like a weed and has excellent flower quality. It usually flowers twice a year for us, in May/June and then again in September.
