Paphiopedilum Saguine Henry is a primary hybrid of (henryanum x sangii). These plants took a long time before they started blooming. It seems these need to be near specimen sized plants with 6 growths for flowering. Well, now they are there and the flowers have been a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately only a handful of these plants were produced from this cross.
These plants definitely exhibit hybrid vigor. They have grown into impressive plants with robust foliage. We grow them along side our complex Paphiopedilum hybrids, but they would probably be just as happy with our mottled leaf hybrids. You can find cultural tips on our care page.
