This is a primary hybrid of Paph (malipoense x emersonii). The result is an attractive, bright yellow-green flower with fine red stripes. The amount of striping can vary from flower to flower. Another nice feature of this hybrid is that it is one of the few Paphiopedilum orchids that are fragrant.
As this is a Parvisepalum hybrid, the plants tolerate colder temperatures in the winter months. In fact, the species involved in the cross can experience temperatures in the low 40’s F as long as they are not kept too wet in the winter.
General care for this hybrid is quite simple. They are easy to grow and flower if you treat them like complex Paphs. Just follow our care tips here.
