Paphiopedilum Helen Congleton

Paphiopedilum Helen Congleton (Norito Hasegawa x delenatii)

An easy to grow hybrid that wont take up too much space. What more could you ask for!

Blooming size plants in 2″ pots.

Out of stock

Paphiopedilum Helen Congleton is a hybrid of (Norito Hasegawa x delenatii). The interesting thing about Paphiopedilum delenatii is that it pushes all color out of its progeny except red. Norito Hasegawa is a yellow flower. Crossed to delenatii we get a white flower with some red on the staminode. Our photo is a similar hybrid…just picture red instead of yellow in the center.

This is a nice, compact growing hybrid that is not demamnding. They will bloom in a 2″ pot and you can grow a specimen plant in a 4-5″ pot. Treat them like mottled leaf hybrids. They will tolerate cooler winter temperatures due to the influnce of Paphiopedilum armeniacum in its background. Just follow the tips on our care page here and you will be successful!
