This breeding line is intended to bring a yellow-green background into the traditional red spotted complex. The sample photo has some yellow in the lower part of the dorsal. We expect much more intense color and it should also be present in the pouch and petals. The result should be a more amber hue with the red, along with spots. The upper part of the dorsal should retain the clear white background.
Bulldog Paphiopedilum have complex genetics so there will be variability among the seedlings. One thing that has been consistent is vigor. This group of plants has been growing very well and we expect them to start blooming this fall. We expect large, colorful flowers on strong stems. Check out our culture page to learn how to grow these to their full potential.
