Description
Paphiopedilum (anitum x randsii) is a new and unregistered multifloral hybrid. We are not quite sure what it will look like…we used a Johanna Burkhardt photo here. Using Paph randsii might give more prominent stripes on the petals but who knows! Paphiopedilum randsii is seldom used in hybridizing since it is so rare and challenging to grow. Here we have a primary hybrid, so these are growing very well. Hybrid vigor is a good thing!
This will be a fun cross to bloom out and we are looking forward to seeing the results. These are growing in typical multifloral conditions, with bright light and warm temperatures. Since anitum preferes shade, you may be successful with these in lower light as well.
